Najat El Garaa receives Sheikh Mohamad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Creative Sports Award

Moroccan Sportswoman Najat El Garaa, received, Sunday in Dubai, Sheikh Mohamad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Creative Sports Award, which honors individuals, teams, and establishments that demonstrate creativity in the field of sports.

Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council,Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, presented the award to El Garaa who received this award in the category of  “sports achievement with major  humanitarian challenges.”

Najat El Garaa, holds the gold medal and world record (32.37 m) in discus throw at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. She was also named best Moroccan sportswoman for 2012.

Some 289 candidates, including 99 national Olympic committees were nominated for the 4th edition of the Award.
