Morocco sends humanitarian aid to CARICOM countries hit by torrential rainfall
Rabat- In conformity with the instructions by King Mohammed VI and as part of Morocco’s active solidarity with friendly countries of the CARICOM, Morocco decided to send humanitarian aid for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and the Commonwealth of Dominica which were hit lately by intense rainfall that caused important damages.
According to a statement by the foreign affairs ministry, the Moroccan humanitarian aid, which will be airlifted, is made of basic foodstuffs, mainly rice, oil and powder milk for infants. The aid includes also blankets and a consignment of medicines.
The fist plane carrying the Moroccan aid, mobilized by the Moroccan agency for international cooperation and the royal armed forces, arrived on Wednesday to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, it said, adding that two other planes loaded with humanitarian aid will land in St. Lucia and the Commonwealth of Dominica on Thursday and Friday.
