In partnership with Rekrute.com, the Association of Moroccan Professionals in America (AMPA) will be holding its 6th annual Moroccan American Bridges (MAB) in Manhattan, New York on November 12, 2011. The theme of this year’s event is “US Moroccan Professionals: Successful investing and career transitions”.
With many countries officially coming out of the global recession, several of Morocco’s key Eurozone trading partners, Morocco is set for a period of steady economic growth. Morocco’s economic improvement is being influenced by the strong performance of the Asian economies and recovery signs in other countries. Additionally, Morocco’s financial system remained robust and because of its limited integration with the external world, Morocco has not felt the direct effects of the global financial downturn.
The event will also be an opportunity to share the experiences of Moroccan American Entrepreneurs, their business development strategies, their major difficulties and how they surmounted them, the key factors of their success, their plans for the future in an effort to motivate other entrepreneurs with growth-potential enterprises to take actions in their path to success.
This year, the AMPA conference will also feature a mini career fair with the participation of OCP SA as a platinum sponsor and Jacobs Engineering as a Gold sponsor. These Moroccan companies are seeking U.S-based professionals with expertise in the fields of finance, information technology and engineering.
Last year, more than 120 people including AMPA members, guests, and speakers from the US and Morocco attended the event in Casablanca which was focused on Green Energy –renewable energy markets in Morocco and the US, opportunities for private equity and venture capital in clean tech energy companies as well as a review of the latest technologies likely to create a step change in the industry, plus examination of the success stories and the prospects for financing the scale-up of these game changing innovations.
