A delegation for Morocco’s large-scale anti-poverty program the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) at the Interior Ministry visited recently France and agreed with officials of French Interior Ministry to boost bilateral cooperation in human development.
The two sides identified the main points to “reinforce cooperation between the two departments, especially in human development, civil society actions and the fight against social exclusion in the urban area,” the INDH coordinator governor Nadira El Guermaï told Morocco’s news agency MAP.
Guermaï, who led the Moroccan delegation, said it was agreed to set up three cooperation levels which focused on promoting exchanges between the different Moroccan and French stakeholders.
The first level, “strategic,” concerns the two ministries’ main actors responsible for managing the various human development actions.
The second, “operational,” consists of establishing contacts between Moroccan heads of divisions of the INDH social action with their French peers at the Interior Ministry.
The last level, “execution,” aims to establish contacts between Moroccan associations working in the fight against poverty, precariousness and exclusion with their French counterparts.
These cooperation projects are the outcome of “warm” and “constructive” exchanges between the Moroccan delegation and several French officials, she said.
