TRIPOLI, Dec 17, 2011 (AFP)
Libyan customs officers working with former rebel militiamen have seized 7,000 bottles of contraband alcohol at Tripoli port, the state WAL news agency reported on Saturday.
The bottles had been concealed in a container of fruit juice, the news agency said citing interior ministry sources.
The sale and consumption of alcohol remains illegal in Libya as it was under Moamer Kadhafi’s regime.
