A delegation of the National Commission of International Humanitarian Law and the General Secretariat of the Government will take part, from 10 to 12 January in Abu Dhabi, in a meeting of Arab governmental experts in the field of international humanitarian law.
The delegation includes the President of the National Commission of International Humanitarian Law, Farida Al-Khamlichi, and the representative of the General Secretariat of the Government in this Committee, Mohamed Bentaleb, said Monday a statement from the Commission.
Organized by the Jordanian committee of international humanitarian law in cooperation with the Arab League and the International Committee of the Red Cross, the meeting will be devoted to the evaluation of the actions of Arab National Commissions of international humanitarian law and the exchange of ideas and experiences, the source said.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to identify priorities for joint Arab action in implementing the provisions of international humanitarian law with regard to the harmonization of national legislation with international conventions on the matter, and the dissemination of international humanitarian law.
