A new fisheries agreement between Morocco and the European Union (EU) “must be technically and economically viable and beneficial for both parties,” the president of the Andalusian Federation of fishermen’s associations Pedro Maza said on Tuesday.
“We wish that steps necessary to launch negotiations towards concluding a new fisheries agreement between Morocco and the EU as soon as possible be accelerated,” he told the Europa Press news agency.
Maza noted that the acceleration of steps to conclude a new fisheries agreement between the two parties will be on the agenda of the meeting of the Moroccan-Spanish fisheries professionals commission due on Wednesday in Barbate.
