Royal and Princely activities as well the Sahara issue are the main topics that draw the attention of Moroccan dailies this Saturday, along with other current themes.
Newspapers say that HM King Mohammed VI launched, on Friday in the rural commune of Ain Chkef (Province of Moulay Yacoub), the “Bab Fès” operation to build 330 social housing units for a total cost of 76 million dirhamas.
The dailies also report that HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, performed the Friday prayer in Attaqwa mosque in Fez.
They also report that HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Association against Cancer (ALSC), accompanied by Princesses and First Ladies invited to the International Conference on Cancer Control in the Middle-East and Africa (January 12-14), visited the oncology and haematology center at the Mohammed VI University Hospital on Friday in Marrakech.
Regarding the Sahara issue, the dailies focused on U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s statement following a meeting with her Algerian peer Mourad Medelci, in which she said that the United States continues to support a “peaceful, sustainable and mutually agreed upon solution” to the Sahara issue.
With regards to the Sahara issue, “our policy has not changed. We continue to support efforts to find a peaceful, sustainable and mutually agreed upon solution to the conflict,” said Clinton at a joint press conference in Washington.
