The government programme of action presented by the head of government to Parliament and the issue of unemployed graduates are the major topics examined by the editorials of the Moroccan dailies issued on Saturday.
“Al Khabar” writes that the head of government Abdelilah Benkirane deserves to be given time to deliver on his election promises and implement his government program presented to parliament, saying there are five objective reasons for that.
The first reason, it says, is that the Moroccans are convinced that Benkirane has become head of government in a democratic manner following the legislative elections of November 25. The second is that Benkirane has displayed qualities of an experienced politician, with a proven ability to handle sensitive stages that his party went through.
The third reason is that Benkirane has shown qualities of competence, patriotism and perseverance, while the fourth reason is the societal project presented by Benkirane, based on a reform policy that renders Morocco a moderate Islamic society with a strong, open economy and that defends the Kingdom’s national sovereignty.
As to the fifth reason, the daily says, it is the fact that Benkirane works to ensure stability and social cohesion.
For its part, “Assabah” says that no one can challenge the legitimacy of the coalition or question the validity of the aims and intentions announced by the head of government in his statement to Parliament.
The daily notes that what characterizes the government program of action is that the text has enshrined the principle of continuity in the implementation of projects and public policies.
“Al Mounaataf” reports that when the head of government was presenting the action program of his team in Parliament, unemployed graduates outside the chamber were claiming employment.
The editorial says that the government program of action was a mere declaration of good intentions, adding that the road map presented by Benkirane lacks a clear-cut agenda and a precise methodology, and contains contradictions due to the difficulty in bringing together the parties’ visions.
Regarding the issue of unemployed graduates, “Akhbar Al Yaoum Al Maghribia” says that this problem which is termed as “a time bomb” can only be resolved through a number of measures, especially by upgrading the training sector to adapt it to the labor market.
