Jordan has deported five Libyan patients after discovering that they were HIV-positive, a health ministry official said on Tuesday.
“The five people have been hospitalised in a private hospital in Amman. On Friday, health authorities found out that they were HIV-positive. They have been deported after a 72-hour quarantine,” the official told AFP.
“The health ministry will impose more preventive measures to make sure all Libyans coming to Jordan are free of this disease,” he said without elaborating.
