The Moroccan Association in Support of the Palestinian Struggle and the National Working Group in Support of Iraq and Palestine will organize the Moroccan People March for Jerusalem on Sunday, April 1 at 10 am at Abu Chouaib Doukkali intersection in Mohammed VI street, in Casablanca.
Both organizers are calling on the Moroccan people for this demonstration, which is expected to be the biggest march in the history of Morocco in support of Jerusalem and Palestine. This demonstration aims to raise awareness about the danger and seriousness of the Israeli project to “Judaize Jerusalem” and obliterate its Arab identity.
The march also seeks to address the terrorist racist plans carried out by zionists that target the Arab identity of Jerusalem as well as its religion, history and civilization. It also aims to firmly denounce the crimes of murder, destruction, displacement, annexation, settlement, Judaization, confiscation, and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israeli government in Jerusalem and Palestine as a whole.
Through this march, Moroccans aim to express their unconditional support for the Palestinian people in their struggle and resistance to the Israeli occupation, and to confirm Palestinians’ right of return to their homes, towns and villages, from which they have been displaced, as well as their right in self-determination and liberation of their land to re-build the Palestinian state on the entire Palestinian soil.
The Moroccan people’s march for Palestine coincides with the international March for Palestine organized by global activists all over the world on the same day.
The date of the march was specifically chosen one day after the International Earth Day. The theme of the march is “Freedom to Jerusalem: No to occupation, No to Ethnic cleansing policies, No to racial separation and No to the Judaization of Jerusalem”. The march is expected to receive huge flows of people from all over Morocco, a country whose people have always shown their unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to recover their stolen land.
