Morocco has allocated colossal investments to develop football and is now well positioned to organize big tournaments, FIFA President Joseph Blatter said on Sunday in Rabat.
“Morocco delivered on its promise to build infrastructure that enables the organization of big tournaments,” Blatter told MAP upon his arrival in the Rabat-Salé airport.
FIFA President also congratulated Morocco on its designation to be the first African Country to host Club World Cup in 2013 and 2014.
“My visit to Morocco, a country with a long football tradition, is part of my duties as President of FIFA which include paying regular visits to national federations,” Blatter added, voicing hope to see the programs led by FIFA and the African Football Federation (CAF) contribute to the development of football in Morocco.
