Moroccan diplomacy backs the national enterprise in its action to “search for new niches and new opportunities” to gain further competitiveness, Minister Delegate at the Foreign Ministry Youssef Amrani said Wednesday in Casablanca.
“Morocco now enjoys considerable expertise and knows the markets in Africa. We are ready to support the Moroccan company in in order to look for new opportunities in growth sectors where Morocco has a comparative advantage and market knowledge,” Amrani told news agency MAP, on the sidelines of the general assembly to elect new president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
Economic diplomacy is a Moroccan foreign policy priority to work together, he said.
The Foreign Ministry will work to attract investment and support to promising projects of the Kingdom, he said.
At a time when Europe and the world are experiencing economic and financial crisis, the ministry will support national firms, knowing that Morocco is heavily involved in the international economy through relationships and partnerships, such as the advanced status with European Union, said Amrani.
Regarding the election of the first woman to head the employers’ organization, he said it is a “powerful political message” which shows that “Moroccan women play an extremely important in political and economic areas.”
