Four players of the 2012 CAF Super Cup winners MAS Fez were suspended on Thursday by the disciplinary commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for their roles in recent match incidents.
Morocco international defender Samir Zekroumi was handed a four-match ban for fighting team mate Abdelhadi Halhoul, who also was slapped with a two-match suspension.
Strikers Hamza Abourazzouk and Ali Bamaamar were given one match ban each.
Zekroumi is on the list of 26 players called up by Morocco coach Eric Gerets for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign debuting early next month.
It is yet unclear if the suspension will affect the player’s international assignments.
