The working visit to Tunisia that Moroccan head of government Abdelillah Benkirane will conduct next Thursday, at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart Hamadi Jebali will be an opportunity to examine ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and broaden the perspectives of bilateral cooperation, said a statement from Tunisian Prime Minister’s office.
On this occasion, the talks between the two sides will also focus on strengthening the building of the Maghreb and regional and international issues of common concern, said the source.
The statement notes that Morocco is one of Tunisia’s main partners in the region, noting that trade between the two countries in recent years has seen a significant evoultion.
The trade volume between the two countries reached, in 2011, 467.8 million dirhams (336.1 million dirhams of exports and 131.7 million dirhams of imports).
Some 19 Tunisian companies are operating in Morocco in the field of cable manufacturing, food business, services and packaging.
In Tunisia, 23 Moroccan companies are working in industry, agriculture and banking.
