The government has a medium and long-term plan for the reform of the compensation fund, Minister in charge of general and economic affairs, Mohamed Najib Boulif said on Tuesday.
The reform of the compensation system requires an integrated national vision, said Boulif who was speaking at a show broadcasted by Al Oula TV channel.
Any reform of the fund should take into consideration the economic specificities, the number of inhabitants, the demographic structure and the types of social projects as well as the targeted categories, said Boulif.
The recent hike in oil prices aims at preserving the macroeconomic balance as well as the budget allocated to investment and social expenditures, he said, adding that this decision was also taken to limit the budget deficit and maintain Morocco’s attractiveness for foreign direct investments.
