Mustafa Baghdad, General Secretary of the union of free Moroccan musicians, passed away yesterday evening a few minutes after he slipped into a coma on the stage of the cultural space “Hollywood” in the city of Sale.
Baghdad was going to perform in a concert celebrating the 16th National Festival of Moroccan song, in honor of the Moroccan artist Latifa Raafat, but the audience was surprised when the musician fell suddenly on the ground before their eyes.
After the tragic incident, a medical team intervened and transferred the Secretary-General of the Union of Moroccan musicians to a private clinic in the city of Salé in order to obtain the required first aid, but he passed away despite the resuscitation attempts carried out by the medical staff.
