The Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training announced earlier this month that 300 free round-trip plane tickets will be available to Moroccan students. These students will use the tickets to travel to take entrance exams in order to study engineering at graduate schools in France.
The Ministry signed a convention with Royal Air Maroc and has already received 900 student applicants for the tickets. 300 students will ultimately receive tickets.
The airline tickets will be given based on a list of merit as encouragement to the students and also to reflect Morocco’s openness in international education collaborations.
A similar move was launched last year, when 200 tickets were given to the most academically successful students from all over Morocco.
The Ministry will also provide another 300 free plane tickets to students who come from Sub-Saharan Africa to Morocco to pass entrance exams in schools of engineering and commerce.
