Bay Mal Al Qods Asharif Agency launched on Friday in Rabat its annual fundraising campaign on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking at a press conference on this occasion, Director General of the Agency Abdelkbir Alaoui M’daghri highlighted the efficiency of the projects funded by the Agency despite lack of funds.
In this regard, he noted that funds collected in 2011 stood at 900,000 dollars which represents a 78% decrease compared to 2010.
Alaoui M’daghri added that implementing key project is still possible if the financial means are available.
He also regretted that contributions by some Muslim countries and institutions remain limited.
On the same occasion, Alaoui M’daghri shed light on the Agency’s projects notably those relating to education, through building, revamping and equipping schools as well health and social assistance, adding that the Agency’s investments last year stand at 5.5 million dollars.
