F.C. Barcelona crushed the Raja of Casablanca in the much anticipated friendly game they played on Saturday in the Grand Stadium of Tangier. The first goal was scored by the Chilean Alexis Sanchez at the 12th minute.
After the first goal, Rajaa of Casablanca tried to have a hold of the ball and tried to score the equalizer. It was to no avail since the Barca players did not leave any space to the Moroccan side to develop their game.
Barca tightened its grip over the game when, 22 minutes later when Lionel Messi, scored the second goal for the Catalan team after Rajaa’s Shems Eddine Shtaibi, lost the ball in the mid-field. The second goal signaled the start of an avalanche of goals scored by the blaugrana.
The third goal and fifth goal were scored respectively by Lionel Messi at the 37th minute and 45th minutes, while the fourth goal was scored by Alexis Sanchez at the 40th minute.
The sixth goal was by Dani Alves from a penalty kick after Barca’s striker Sanchez was tripped down in the penalty area. After the sixth goal, the Spanish team played with its second team after Messi, Alves, Adriano, Sanchez and Afellay left the pitch.
While the Moroccan public was holding its breath and hoping to see the game end with less damage, Barca scored two more goals within 3 minutes, at the 87th and 89th minutes.
Since the start of the game, the Barce was faithful to its style play, depriving its rival of the ball through short passes.
Throughout the game, Rajaa players looked disorganized, lost in the pitch and unprepared for such a game.
It was the second game played by Barcelona this season after it played its first friendly game on Wednesday against Hamburg.
It is the first time in Morocco’s recent history that a Moroccan team loses with such a large score.
