According to the daily Akhbar Al Youm, A Moroccan student journalist has taken an adventurous step and headed towards Syria as a reporter. Sakina Sadki becomes the first Moroccan journalist to penetrate into the territories of the country since the outset of the current crisis, amidst heavy fighting between the Asad regime and the armed opposition.
Sakina is a student journalist at the Higher Institute for Media and Communication in Rabat. She visited the refugees’ camps along the Syrian Turkish borders and made her way to the Syrian territories.
The journalist said she managed to finish a report on the displaced in an attempt to convey their sufferings, condemning Arab regimes, including Moroccan government, for their silence regarding the crimes committed against Syrian people.
In a comment on her Facebook page Sakina went on to say that she could not bear witnessing scenes of daily murders of civilians and especially children. I filmed scenes of these heinous crimes, she added.
The journalist took a photo of her holding a Moroccan flag next to a devastated wall, probably by armed fighting.
