Offensive graffiti against the symbols of the regime have caused strong mobilization of security services in Oujeda, Eastern Morocco, the daily al Massae reported on Saturday.
The graffiti found on the walls of some shops insult the regime and glorify the people. The authorities erased the graffiti and searched for their authors.
The graffiti written in in Arabic say Aacha Achaab or long live the People, while others were critical towards corruption and the royal palace.
Recently, a group on the Facebook has called for a second campaign for “graffiti against the regime”, and demanded the release of political prisoners.
In Casablanca, similar graffiti can be detected in various places such as buses, streets and even on the wall of a police building.
Writing on the wall has become a means for conveying political messages to officials in the country.
