A delegation of representatives of the Moroccan Press and the Federation of Associations of Journalists in Spain (FAPE) discussed, Tuesday in Madrid, means to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ media.
The two sides stressed the need to multiply contacts and visit exchanges to further deepen bilateral ties and cooperation with the aim of establishing a new relationship based on trust and mutual understanding between the sector’s professionals..
They highlighted the problems and challenges facing the sector in both countries to improve their products, especially in this environment of the global economic crisis that weighs heavily on media.
In addition to the meeting with FAPE, the Moroccan delegation held on Monday a meeting with the officials of the Spanish news agency “EFE”, during which the two sides discussed the state of relations between the two countries’ media.
The meeting was an opportunity for the Moroccan MAP news agency and its counterpart EFE to take stock of their cooperation to support the momentum in recent months between the two countries and give fresh impetus to relations between the two institutions.
The two agencies expressed their desire to further strengthen their relations, particularly training in the new products launched by the Moroccan agency (MAP-TV, MAP-Audio and computer graphics).
