Morocco Coach Rachid Taoussi Reveals his Monthly Salary

The new coach of the Atlas Lions Rachid Taoussi on Tuesday in Rabat revealed that his salary will amount to  MAD 580,000 ($63,000) and will be taxable.

The appointment of the Moroccan coach puts an end to the secrecy that surrounded the contract signed by the Moroccan Football Federation with the former coach of the Moroccan national team, whose monthly payment was never made public.

The exorbitant salary of Eric Gerts, which was estimated to be $250,000, stirred controversy in Morocco since the early days of his appointment. In addition to this salary, the Belgian coach was exempted from paying taxes.
