A twinning agreement between the cities of Rabat and Al Quds was signed on Tuesday in Rabat to further promote bilateral ties and deepen the bonds of long-standing brotherhood between the populations of the two cities.
The agreement aims to promote cultural exchange, hold, to this effect, meetings and forums and share expertise and know-how in the areas of infrastructure, architectural and urban planning, education, health, housing and sustainable development.
In order to protect the holy city against the Israeli occupation, the agreement provides a framework to promote cooperation in telecommunications and international relations, in addition to coordination among the representatives of the two cities at conferences and regional and international forums.
The city of Rabat undertakes, in accordance with its powers and the means at its disposal, to support the resistance of the inhabitants of Al Quds, while Al Quds authorities shall strive to preserve the Morocco’s historical presence in the holy city.
