A 11-strong medical team, including surgeons and physicians of other specialties, left on Friday the Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport heading for the camps of Syrian refugees near the Turkish border.
Organized upon the initiative of the Moroccan coalition of support for the Syrian people, this relief medical team is part of the international campaign for solidarity with the Syrian people, the coalition’s coordinator Mustapha Mouchtari told MAP.
It is meant to ease the sufferings of Syrians who fled violence in their country, he went on, adding that it is in line with the efforts by Morocco to assist and support the brotherly Syrian people.
Morocco provided logistical and humanitarian support to Syrian refugees in Jordan, consisting of humanitarian aid and a medico-surgical field hospital.
