The national dialogue on the reform of the judiciary is meant to achieve a comprehensive and in-depth overhaul of this system to meet the expectations of citizens, businessmen and Morocco’s international partners, Justice Minister Mustapha Ramid said Friday in Ifrane.
Speaking at the opening of the 4th regional forum of the national dialogue on the reform of the judiciary under the theme “Moralizing the judiciary system”, Ramid said that the reform cannot succeed with no efficient solutions to difficulties hampering the progress of this system, underlining the huge responsibilities incumbent on actors involved in this large-scale reform project
He said at the two-day forum that the dialogue is taking place in conformity with the instructions of King Mohammed VI during the ceremony of the setting up of the high authority in charge of the national dialogue on the reform of the judiciary and directives included in the latest Throne speech, placing the judiciary reform at the top of Moroccan reform projects.
The speech of the King at the opening of the legislative year insisted on the place of the independence of the judiciary in the debate over this reforming project, he noted, stressing that this national dialogue relies on the principle of partnership.
