Morocco condemned the car bombing in Beirut, on Friday, underlining that it is “a criminal act seeking to undermine the security and stability of the sister nation of Lebanon,” said a statement on Saturday by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Denouncing this criminal act and deeming that it seeks to undermine the security and stability of the sister nation of Lebanon and sow unrest on its territory, the Kingdom of Morocco expresses its sincere condolences to the Lebanese government and its heartfelt compassion to the victims’ families, it said.
Morocco urges all political forces in Lebanon to remain attached to national unity and show wisdom and insight to foil attempts seeking to lead the country and the whole region into the spiral of violence and hostilities, it added.
The ministry recalled that this horrible bombing in the Al Achrafiya neighborhood cost the lives of 8 people, including chief of Internal Security Forces Wissam Al Hassan, in addition to 80 civilians wounded in the blast and important material damages.
