The public opinion of Zagora, 426 mile (686 Kilometer) South West of Rabat, was shocked and enraged by a heinous act of rape that targeted an old woman in Zagora.
According to Brahim Rizkou, the head of an association for human right, Zagora local branch, an old woman in her seventies was subject to a cruel act of sexual harassment by a young man in deraa, Zagora.
Brahim Rizkou told Morocco World News that the defenseless old woman was raped savagely by a young man in his twenties. The young man broke into the house of the old woman during night of Eid Al Adha and “exploited her weakness to quench his abject and sickened desires in a very barbarous way,” added the same source.
The victim of this inhuman act was taken to the local hospital and the doctor confirmed that the woman was a victim of rape. The local authorities have been informed and put the suspected under custody.
News about sexual harassment went viral over the past few days in Morocco as young women were subject to various forms of harassment, including offensive words, lustful looks and winks, and even physical harassment in public places.
