Internationally renowned Moroccan vocalist Karima Skalli who performs both Classical Arabic titles such as Asmahan, farid al attrach, oum khaltoum, fairouz and Moroccan Andalusian songs will make her presence on the stages of different American states.
“Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture” will be hosting the charming delicate singer Karima Skkali to provide a series of concerts and seminars in the honor of Moroccan music and Andalusian patrimony.
This world sparkling star will glitter the sky of Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington in the period between 12 November and 1 December, 2012.
Ms. Skalli will be in Philadelphia for a week that includes rehearsals with Al-Bustan’s resident takht ensemble, music demonstrations for youth and adults, culminating with a concert and reception on November 18.
Throughout this tour she will enchant her public by her sensual voice and the delicacy and relevance of her chosen songs digging in the stunning and emotional memory of the Arab classical songs, with a special bond to the mystical rhythms of Andalusian music.
Karima Skkali has been brought up in a family of Artists , and grown among the notes of Melhoun and andalusian music, which had a very advantageous impact on her musical choices and whole career.
The fruit of her tough work, is that this magical Moroccan voice, has forged her unique artistic personality and keeps beautifying the Arab and world artistic space.
Thanks to her commitment and artistic force, the Moroccan diva became a regular host in many of the world big festivals of music both at the national and international level.
