The Raja of Casablanca was the lucky winner of the 2011-2012 Throne Cup final played on Sunday in Rabat between Casablanca’s most popular team and the FAR of Rabat. Raja managed to win the title after penalty shootouts. The regulatory and extra time of the match ended with a 0-0 draw.
Raja’s Hamza Bourazzak scored a goal at the end of the second period of extra time, but his goal was refused, as he was offside. This is the seventh time that Raja of Casablanca wins the Throne Cup.
This is the second time in a row that Bourazzouk wins the Throne time after he won the title last year with the Maghreb of Fez. Shemsseddine Shtaibi has done even better since he wins his third Throne title. He has previously won the title with the FUS of Rabat in 2010 and the Maghreb of Fez in 2011.
