Three planes carrying the first batch of humanitarian aid, sent by Morocco to Palestinians in Gaza, arrived on Thursday morning at the El Arich airport (380 km eastern Cairo).
This aid, to be dispatched on the same day to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, includes a multidisciplinary medical-surgical hospital by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
Set up upon the royal orders, the said hospital has all technical means necessary for medical teams to fulfill their mission. These teams are composed of specialized medical units of the Royal Armed Forces, as well as Moroccan civilian physicians and paramedics.
Other Moroccan planes loaded with logistical and humanitarian support for the refugees will land in the days to come in El Arich.
Within the same framework and upon the royal orders, the Mohammed V Foundation for solidarity provided 4 tons of drugs and 38 tons of foodstuffs, mainly powder milk and rice, for Gaza’s children.
The hospital unit and the said consignments are airlifted by the Royal Armed Forces.
This aid is dispatched in implementation of HM King Mohammed VI’s decision to send an important Moroccan specialized mission with a sizeable logistical and humanitarian support.
Through this initiative, Morocco intends to contribute to easing the sufferings of the Palestinian population and confirm anew the Kingdom’s unwavering solidarity with brotherly and friendly countries.
