The European Union (EU) will continue supporting Morocco’s efforts to modernize its economy and infrastructure, by fostering industrial cooperation and technical and financial support, European Commission Vice-president Antonio Tajani said.
Aware of the need to create conditions for a growth capable of reducing youth unemployment, the EU plans to boost its economic cooperation with Morocco to support the employment sector, Tajani told MAP on the occasion of the visit he will pay to Morocco next Monday along with a delegation of fifty European leading businessmen.
This economic mission (November 26-27) composed also of representatives of several entrepreneurial organizations and federations, is part of the “Mission for growth,” an initiative by the European Commission to promote the internationalization of European firms.
Morocco will the first country in the European neighborhood to take advantage of this initiative. For Tajani, the choice of the kingdom is not fortuitous. “Morocco is a key partner for the EU.”
