Last Thursday, a 22 year-old primary teacher was found lifeless at her apartment located in Sidi Bennour, in the suburb of Casablanca. The teacher used to work at “Noua’ama” Schools Group.
The same day, the defunct left work at 1 p.m as usual and headed to her residence place, sources acquainted with the event told Al Jarida Tarbaouiya, an online outlet that specializes on issues related to teachers in Morocco. Neighbors, colleagues and family members had not heard from her since regardless of their numerous attempts to reach her.
Her mother kept calling her daughter indefatigably to check on her, bearing in mind that the teacher’s workplace is farther from where her hometown is. Yet, no one would pick up her phone. The mother’s worries grew deeper when the neighbors told her that she had not been responding to their on-going knocks.
Hence, she agitatedly asked them to break into her daughter’s domicile. Shockingly, no one was found but a corpse of a once-vivid teacher. The neighbors immediately reported the incident to the police force. The latter transferred the teacher’s dead body to a hospital’s mortuary in Sidi Bennour for autopsy. The police has also opened an investigation on the mysterious death.
