Morocco tops the list of beneficiary countries of the Master Plan for Spanish Cooperation for the period 2013-2016, According to official sources in Madrid.
This plan, adopted by the Council of Ministers, chaired by Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, concerns 20 African and Latin American countries, including Morocco, Colombia, Mauritania, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Mali, Niger, Paraguay, Senegal, Mozambique, Palestine and the Philippines, said a statement from the Presidency of the Spanish Government.
The Plan is based on several axes, including the strengthening of good governance and democratic processes, the reduction of the poverty index (food security, social protection …), and the promotion of economic opportunities and social cohesion systems (education, health, food and water).
It also involves the promotion of women’s rights, increased institutional and social capabilities of recipient countries and the improvement of human capacities and education for development.
