A Whale calf, Balaenoptera physalus type, weighing three tons and measuring 6.90 meters, was rejected by the sea, on Tuesday night, on a beach located about thirty kilometers south of Casablanca.
The mammal has probably died of suffocation after being caught in the nets of fishermen, told MAP news agency Khadija Aminzoui, biologist at the National Fisheries Research Institute (NHRI) in Casablanca.
The average size of an adult of this mammal reaches about 19 to 20 meters. It is the second largest living animal on the planet.
