Morocco got the best stand award at the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT) which was held January 24-27 in Istanbul.
Morocco took part in this fair with a stand, by the National Tourism Office (ONMT), built over 100 square meters at the main entry. The stand was visited by potential tourists, professionals, media representatives, and Turkish officials mainly culture minister Ertugrul Gunay.
The stand, renovated entirely this year to reflect the Moroccan tradition and rich cultural heritage, drew more visitors thanks to the presence of wood carver Maalam Mohamed Kharbibi and his masterpieces.
The Moroccan stand included areas for businessmen and travel agencies. Morocco’s participation in this event is meant to attract more Turkish tourists
