Sidi Ifni, Morocco – According to the January 2013 ‘World Matrix’ ranking, Marrakech’s Cady Ayyad University ranked first in Morocco, third in the Maghreb , 37th in Africa, 35th in the Arab world and 2631th worldwide.
“We must admit that the prestigious ranking is the fruit of the efforts of professors, researchers, and the administrative staff at this university,” said Abdellatif El Miraoui, president of Caddy Ayad University in an interview.
Surprisingly, this state university has surpassed Al Akhawayn University. Al Akhawayn ranked second in Morocco, while it has internationally ranked 3358. Here, much attention has recently been drawn to the approaches Caddy Ayyad University has followed.
Most importantly, Caddy Ayyad University has taken remarkable strides compared to 2012 (2921) by advancing by 290 positions this year.
Founded in 1978, Caddy Ayyad University branched out to Marrakech (eight institutions), Essaouira one institution), Safi (three institutions), and Sraghna Castle (one institution). Among the specialties these institutions embody are technology, engineering sciences, economic, legal and social arts, medicine and humanities.
Web Matrix–which ranks universities worldwide every year–bases the ranking on four main indicators: Internet, the number of research and scientific publications, sites reserved for the research, and quality-based integration of the results.
