“East or west, home is the best” is a very popular proverb all over the world. It states that everyone likes his or her own home more than anywhere else. This is normal and great. Yet, I would like to use the form of this proverb and say instead of it, ‘South or north, Humans are measured by their thoughts.’ The difference between the first popular proverb and my modest one is that the first one is more emotional than logical; on the contrary, the second is more logical than emotional. In terms of emotions all people are the same, they all feel sad, happy, and they believe in God, or embrace a doctrine or none of these at all.
These emotional differences can make such problems between people. Here, I care more about thoughts or minds by and large. It is the tool that can gather what emotions separate; it is the tool that can make people all together; it is the tool that can lead the world to be better; it is the only tool that can help avoid conflicts, and in pervading love and peace provided that it is used logically and morally. Therefore, we should no longer be driven by our emotions and illusions. For example, to keep thinking that the different or ‘other’ is always the source of my problem. Some Christians or Jews may think that Muslims are their problem and vice versa.
The one who thinks analytically will easily and automatically discovers that those illusions are just limits and boundaries of the mind. They do not give room to the mind to discover truths and realities. They make life complicated and not safe.
We, individuals, should give the chance to ourselves to discover others’ cultures and civilizations through many ways, mainly through people themselves. Each one should embrace the other and get closer to him or her, and not to get away instead. The world will never be led effectively by one unique side. All people are responsible for it; we should go hand in hand and forget about trivial differences.
To sum up, the world from my point of view goes on four feet the East, the West, the South and the North. Whenever one foot is neglected or harmed, the world will lose its balance. Yes, it’s not contradictory if I say that the world can be driven by a unique side, but that side must be the mind. The latter is the only fair tool for human beings if it is used based on logos and ethos.
