The third edition international seminar on information systems and technologies was launched yesterday in Tangier, with the participation of hundreds of researchers, experts and developers in the field of information technology and data network in Morocco and from many foreign countries, reported Alakhbar.
Organized by the faculty of science and technology, which is affiliated to Abdul Malik al-Saadi university, the event aims to promote collaboration and exchange of expertise among institutes in the Maghreb and in other corners of the world for research and innovation in the field of information systems.
Mr. Mustapha Al-Zayani, director of the seminar and professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, stated that this meeting would discuss ways through which information technology can be put in the service of society, especially in the field of urban renovation, by connecting it with communication networks at the global level.
Mr. Al-Zayani went on to say that the siminar consists of many studies and presentations on topics such as communication systems and their use in decision making mechanisms and predictive studies.
This year’s seminar, which comes subsequent to the one held in Algeria in 2011, and in Tunisia last year, knows the participation of experts from a myriad of countries, namely France, the United States, Italy, Spain, India, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, including Morocco.
This year’s edition also aims at diversifying topics of discussion, ranging from the tools and measures pertaining to information technologies, including the processing of data and mobile networks, as well as some socio-economic dimensions of information technology, its affects and the factors behind its success.
