The last three decades have been marked with an unprecedented and astounding evolution in the terrain of information technology. New ways of communicating, administrating, accounting, recording, and so forth, have surged, granting us the privilege of performing these tasks, and many more, anywhere and anytime we wish.
E-commerce is one fruit of the incessant evolution of information technology. With it, customary economic activities, including trading, shopping, investing, merchandizing and banking, have become considerably easier and less time-consuming. In Morocco, awareness of the importance of e-commerce is increasing at a remarkable pace. A previous article in MWN (“E-commerce in Morocco”) provides further details on the status of this internet phenomenon in Morocco.
As a result, the number of e-commerce training workshops in Morocco has increased. The recently announced “Morocco Web Enterprise” (MWE) is one of these programs. This two-day long workshop seeks to impart a plethora of e-commerce-related skills to future web entrepreneurs. It aspires to train its attendees in creating and designing websites, planning e-commerce strategies and sustaining great public relations with online clients, with the overall objective of equipping them with the necessary know-how to set up and manage an online enterprise.
According to the program featured on the event’s website, the first day will be devoted principally to introducing potential trainees to the embryonic phases of setting one’s online enterprise. Participants will be taught how to choose a pertinent project idea and how to go about designing and launching their website. They will also be instructed on how to upload, organize and manage content on their websites once created.
After a busy first day devoted chiefly to the technical aspect of the online enterprise, the second day of the workshop will focus on how to plan an effectual marketing strategy, how to address the varying online payment methods, and how to establish and maintain a trust-built relationship with clients.
“This workshop will allow you to start doing business on the internet,” affirmed Mehdi Mourabit, co-founder of and main speaker at the MWE workshop.
The first edition of MWE will take place at Idou Anfa Hotel in Casablanca from April 26-27. The sessions begin at 8:30 and ends at 18:00 on both days. The cost of attendance is fixed at MAD 2700 ($317) per day, with discounts granted to first enrollees and students.
