Several days ago, we reported the news of three Emiratis being kicked out from a festival in Riyadh by Saudi religious police for being “too handsome.”
There are speculations going social media saying that Omar Borkan Al Gala an Emirati poet, actor and photographer from Dubai, has been reported to be among the three men expelled from the Genaderia Heritage and Culture festival by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
As was reported earlier, their crime was fears that female visitors could eventually fall for them.
The identity of the young man inside all this controversy was revealed first time by Jezebel.com which stated in this regard:
“Meet Omar Borkan Al Gala. He’s a photographer, actor, and poet from Dubai and he was one of the men kicked out of Saudi Arabia because he’s really, really ridiculously good looking.”
It has not been confirmed yet that this Emirati young man was actually among the trio being removed from the festival, although he himself posted a link to the news on his page on Facebook.
News outlets throughout the web said that Omar Borkan Al Gala’s made-up appearance and the fact that he is refraining from confirming that he was one of the three men, suggests he could probably be taking advantage of the speculation to boost his public profile.
