The Moroccan branch of the International Institute for Engineers in Electricity and Electronics (IEEE) organized the third edition of the “Engineer’s Week,” on May 9 at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, 64 miles south of Fez.
The E-Week ‘13 is a competition in Robotics and Electromechanics.
The event was organized jointly with the Eighth edition of Al Akhawayn University competition for “Engineering design.”
Many engineering teams from all Moroccan universities took part in the competition. The 18 selected teams exhibited posters of their projects and new designs.
The exhibition as well as the presentations were assessed by a committee including experts in a wide array of academic disciplines and industrial sectors. Only three exhibitors received honorary awards at the end of the competition.
The E-Week organizers sought to promote engineering as a profession in Morocco. This event aimed also at encouraging innovation and creativity amidst engineers.
The competition allowed student engineers to hone their technical skills, and to keep track of the novelties in the wide field of technology.
The finale was an opportunity for the participants as well as the visitors to discover the latest technologies in the field of robotics.
