Casablanca celebrated today the 57th anniversary of the creation of the Moroccan Police.
The ceremony paid tribute to all the National Security agents and officials who made proof of great determination and devotion in their fight against crime in all its manifestations, and by ensuring the safety of civilians.
The event was marked by the delivery of royal Wissams (honor distinctions) to officials and agents serving in the National Security, in the presence of local civil and military authorities, members of judiciary institutions, government representatives, former National Security officials, as well as many other personalities.
The ceremony also comprised simulations of security procedures, acted by multifarious security agents, to demonstrate their professionalism and impart their daily experiences in combating crime to the audience.
“The urban population is growing rapidly due to the growing number of people who flock to the metropolis from different corners of Morocco,” stated Abdellatif Mouadib, police Commissioner of Casablanca.
“This requires the National Security to keep amplifying its efforts by honing the skills and professionalism of its agents, in order to deal with the demographic dynamism that characterizes the city, and to be able to meet its population’s needs in terms of safety and security,” added Mr. Mouadib.
In this respect, the new approach initiated by the National Security in order to ensure the accomplishment of its long-term goals consists of improving its services; maintaining partnerships with various components of civil society in order to ensure a more effective strategy of work; organizing visits to schools to raise awareness on the dangerous repercussions of illegal acts, such as using or trafficking drugs.
