An accidental bug in Facebook’s data archive has exposed the personal information of about six million people, reported BBC English website.
Among the data that were unintentionally shared with people were email and telephone numbers.
Yet, according to Facebook administration, the information exposed would not have any kind of destructive effect.
Exposure of the personal details, Facebook administration added, was brought about by handling contact lists and address books while being uploaded to the social network.
The effect of this exposure was “minimal” simply because Facebook users already know their friends’ contact information, reported BBC news website.
” The problem has now been resolved, ” Facebook was quoted by BBC as saying.
