Spanish foreign minister José Manuel Garcia-Margallo described, on Thursday, as remarkable and very successful the visit King Juan Carlos I is paying to Morocco since Monday upon the invitation of King Mohammed VI.
The visit was a huge success, the Spanish top official told the press in Valencia (eastern Spain) after he came back from Morocco where he accompanied the Spanish sovereign during his official working visit to the Kingdom.
During this visit, the King, and the Moroccan government and people showed the importance they attach to the relation with Spain and the friendship existing between the two countries, Margallo said.
The Spanish Minister noted, in this regard, that the decision by the head of government Mariano Rajoy to make Morocco the destination of his first official visit abroad since taking office in January 2012 and the high-level meeting held last October in Rabat have strengthened the climate of trust between the two countries and gave a new impetus to their relations.
