Rabat- US film-maker Martin Scorsese was chosen to chair the jury of the feature films of the 13th Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) slated November 29-December 7 under the patronage of King Mohammed VI.
Following John Boorman who chaired the 2012 jury, the president of the feature films jury of the 13th Marrakech International Film Festival will be Martin Scorses, a statement by the FIFM foundation said.
The fest paid tribute since 2005 to the film-director and he was awarded by HM King Mohammed VI the wissam of Al Kafaa Al Fikrya.
He was again invited to the event in 2007 to present his movie “The Aviator” to the Moroccan audience accompanied by star Leonardo Di Caprio.
Martin Charles Scorsese is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film historian. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest directors of all time. He directed outstanding movies as Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York and Shutter Island.
