Dakar - The Senegalese government has welcomed Morocco's decision, on High Instructions of King Mohammed VI, to set a new comprehensive migration policy. "Senegal welcomes the prospect thus opened to regularize the situation of some immigrants by providing them access to employment opportunities and residence which opens opportunities for better economic and social integration," says on Monday a communiqué of the Senegalese Foreign Affairs ministry.

By “taking this successful initiative, the Kingdom of Morocco confirms its tradition of welcoming land, of transit and sociocultural brewing,” it adds.
“In the spirit of the excellent brotherly relations between the two countries, Senegal expresses its support for the new migration policy, including in its dimension related to the fight against smuggling and human trafficking,” the Senegalese ministry says
