OUJDA, Morocco, Asmae Azzamouri, a young education reform activist from Morocco, an admin of a youth club (ELCO) in Oujda city, and an effective member at “Association National De Développement Familiale Et Environnemental” in Fes, was selected to be among 250 international participants who will take part in both Global Startup Youth & Global Entrepreneurship Summit the upcoming October in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“For the moment, there are no words that can express my joy. Being selected to take part of this high class event has never crossed my mind. I just hope I can represent my country and my region (Nador) in the best way possible,” said Asmae.
In this major event, outstanding youth between the ages of 18-25 years old will be gathered in one place to exchange diverse views and perspectives on global challenges and to turn top-notch ideas into successful projects.
Global Startup Youth (GSY) will be receiving inspiring Startup leaders, innovative designers, and global field experts to join the summit as mentors. The latter will provide necessary help for selected applicants in the process of building apps, and will inspire them to produce the most effective solutions to global issues. The winning projects will present their prototype to the world leaders.
To Explore the rich and extremely diverse cultural heritage of Kuala Lumpur The selected participants in Global Startup Youth won a fully paid scholarship offered by the Malaysian government, and they will also get the opportunity to meet the president of the United State Barack Obama in Entrepreneurship Summit in its fourth edition (GES), where he will deliver the keynote address.
“Witnessing a speech of the present of the united state will be totally a mind blowing experience. I am really grateful for ELCO; if it wasn’t for this amazing club, I don’t think I would get the confidence and the courage to live this adventure,” she said.
Global Startup Youth was designed by StartupMalaysia in collaboration with international partners, such as the US State Department, YouNoodleInc., UPGlobal, Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, Global Entrepreneurship Week, Startup Nations and the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia in order to realize the vision of the GSY, to reconnect international startup youth and to reach the next-gen innovator community from around the world.
