CASABLANCA – The plant of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier, which will be built within the integrated industrial platform dedicated to aeronautic and space industry Midparc, inaugurated on Monday by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will create 850 direct jobs, said Hugo Fog, CEO of Bombardier Aerospace Morocco.
With an investment of around 200 million U.S. dollars, the Bombardier project will start operating in mid-2014, Mr. Bourria told MAP.
The first to open in Midparc, plant of Bombardier-Morocco will further boost the development of the aerospace industry because of anticipated economic effects in terms of increased Moroccan exports and development of local industry.
The Plant of Bombardier-Morocco, which will be realized in three installments, will produce, eventually, structural components of the flight controls of its Learjet 70 and 75 and of its commercial CRJ Series.
The implantation of Bombardier comes in addition to the large contractors (EADS, Boeing, Bombardier, Safran Group, Daher, Souriau, Zodiac Aerospace, Air France Industries) and confirms, once again, the ability of the Kingdom of Morocco to host an aeronautic base of high quality.
